I like coffee, dogs and riding my bike. I make a mean salted caramel brownie. My mom thinks I’m cool. And I’ve been writing for many, many years about many, many things.

My career has dropped me knee-deep in oligonucleotides, given me a bartender’s background in cocktail recipes, and spanned everything from animal nutrition to ocular surgery and home repairs. I love what I do, because I believe that words are powerful, and I revel in the maddening, magical and extraordinarily satisfying challenge of finding the perfect way to use them.
